Mr. Monetizer

JP Maroney became “Mr. Monetizer” by demonstrating his ability to turn everyday businesses into goldmines.    He is the Founder & CEO of BYB Alliance, a global network of local marketing alliances focused on helping small businesses grow, and will reveal some of his insider tips to Michael’s audience on Logical Soul Talk, Tuesday, March 5th at 6 pm ET.

JP will reveal how he went from starting his first successful T-shirt company at age 19 to becoming a highly sought-after keynote speaker, business consultant, and best-selling author with more than 30 books and audio/video learning systems to his name.

JP and his wife Tonya, shortly after their wedding in their early 20’s, formed an advertising and marketing agency, then went on to found a successful travel publication called Escape Magazine.  That success and the Maroneys’ growing interest in publishing eventually lead them to buy a weekly classifieds marketing newspaper called PennyWise.

JP  jokingly calls this his insanity period . . . he was spread out between too many projects without the business acumen and infrastructure to manage it all. Everything came crashing down when a large advertising client fired its marketing director – his lifeline to the company, and his agency lost the account.

At age 25, JP lost everything and went bankrupt, but his fortunes again changed when a friend suggested an opportunity to build another magazine that he sold for a large profit years later in 1999.  After a brief vacation,  JP launched yet another business as a speaker, author and publisher of training programs, and served as an executive for other companies and ventures.  Today, as co-founder and Chairman of Marocom Group, JP Maroney controls ventures in publishing, media, training, consulting and internet commerce.  He has continued his research and speaking career as well, and will share with Michael’s audience how to get OUT of them when the price is right!
